Primary Pick and Mix
PRIMARY PICK N MIX
Our highly successful Primary Pick'nMix programme has continued during 2009/10 with over 1400 pupils attending CLC days. They are so popular that we intend to increase the number of sessions offered in next year's programme.
The activities include Animation, Film-making, Design, Control Technology, Digital Art, Music making and Storyboarding.
Running the days enables us to model best practice to the teaching staff as well as providing stimulating activities for the pupils. Teachers are able to follow up the activities by booking out Project Boxes for use back in school.
This follow up capability is a key element of the success as we are not using technologies which are limited to the centres alone. A key aspect of all the days is to enable teachers to increase their own knowledge, understand links and carry out assessment activities in all curriculum areas.
